In January 2016, GOCO Hospitality acquired Glen Ivy Hot Springs, an iconic Southern Californian hot spring resort which has been operating for over 150 years. Besides making some major renovations to the existing facilities, as owners and operators, we have been continuously exploring ways to enhance our guests’ overall experience. Here is a review of the key changes that were successfully implemented during our start-up year:

- Twilight – extended opening hours with an entertainment programme for the summer
Total sauna renovation
Glen Ivy’s sauna facilities underwent a major upgrade at the end of last year, providing our guests with top-of-the-line saunas designed by market leader, Klafs of Germany. The saunas boast the latest under-seat heating system in which dry heat is funnelled into a chimney and then fanned out to ensure evenly distributed heat for the relaxation and comfort of guests. Diffused under-bench and cove lighting combined with elegant aspen or hemlock wood panelling add to the soothing ambiance.
New poolside cabanas
Installed in mid 2016, Glen Ivy’s new shaded poolside cabanas allow guests a private retreat from the Californian sun. Stylishly appointed, the cabanas come with two loungers and table seating. Special amenities complement the package, with the added benefit of exclusive and personalised service throughout the day.
GOCO Café
With the opening of the first GOCO Café at the beginning of 2017, Glen Ivy has expanded its culinary repertoire. The café serves signature Starbucks beverages, freshly baked cakes and pastries, guilt-free nutritious snacks and indulgent treats. With its pleasing fusion of modern design and authentic cultural roots, the café offers a variety of seating options to suit the individual needs of guests. GOCO Café also offers a carefully curated selection of products for sale that promote a healthier lifestyle.
Comfort Zone
Glen Ivy Hot Springs is excited to announce an exclusive partnership with Comfort Zone, a pioneer in natural and organic skin care products manufactured in Italy. Its mission is to promote holistic products as well as a healthy lifestyle to revitalise the skin, body and mind. With its stellar reputation for blending age-old traditions and modern scientific solutions, Comfort Zone will be a great contributor to Glen Ivy Spa’s commitment towards health and wellness. The official launch was on 6th March, 2017.
Twilight
We asked our guests what they would like to see at Glen Ivy, and the most requested longer access to the facilities. We listened and invited them for a prolonged experience from 4pm to 9pm, Thursdays through Saturdays. This marked the beginning of our Twilight Offering, “Under the Stars”, a combination of extended opening hours with a unique entertainment programme. Twilight 2016 featured a variety of activities including live music, movies and exercise classes, topped with a new menu of delicious bites and a fresh selection of beverages. By popular demand, Twilight, which last year brought in an additional 12,000 guests, will return this summer season from 4th May to 29th October.
New Food and Beverage Options
Great times are always best celebrated with great food! We are proud to announce that our in-house Chef has created a new healthy and seasonally changing menu, featuring fresh products from our own farm and local growers. Offering a variety of light and colourful salads, tasty sandwiches and wraps, healthy drinks and flavourful home-baked cakes, the menu also features tapas-style plates, California flat breads and seasonal specials. Guests will have a hard time resisting Glen Ivy’s new appetising delights in the coming year.
